REPLACING BONNET CABLE??

Default REPLACING BONNET CABLE??

Mines broken and frayed at the pulleydowny thingunder the steering column , is it difficult to replace with a new one? and how much r they to buy, cheers peeps....p.s i can get into the engine bay still buy pulling the cable with a pair of pliers

Yeah, pretty easy to replace if your loom is tidy behind dash.

Take the steering cowling off at the bottom and feed it through from the car out to the bonnet. Yes, if you pull on the cable it will release the bonnet.

i went to my local breakers yard 2day and bought a mk4 escort bonnet cable and found sum dark rear lights cost Ł20 the lot

easy to put on pull the old one out i suggest taping sum string to it then using the string to pull the new 1 through the connect it up and job done

yup, tape the new one to the old, and pull through... took me 5 mins
