Default Building garages?

I viewed a house yesterday that the missus and I may be buying (waiting on the mortgage man ) The back garden is huge and has side acces to the road so was considering a double garage. If I get a wooden one (cost at the moment) would I still require planning permission as some people think not as it would be classed as a temporary building.

Any people clued up?

Best thing on any planning is to speak to the local council mate. Just give them a buzz and they will sort you.

Well u need planning permission for a fence if its over six foot so I would imagine u wont get away with a garage mate, they see it as your neighbours may not appreciate it

The cost of a brick puts it out of my price for a while yet. I'll still be reeling at the mortgage and the fact the whole house needs gutting and rebuilding room by room

Cheers

The neighbours already have a breeze block built shed in their garden about double garage sized so should be ok. Like I said I'm new to the house thing but fed up with paying rent so some other fooker gets their mortgage paid
