temperature gauge on dash

Default temperature gauge on dash
turn the ignition on and the temp gauge cos right to the top past the red.
but car is fine, oil water fan working, getting heat in the car. just the gauge!?

any ideas?

its probably the temp sender mate about 15 quid from ford there is a year break in 91 they change from red/pink to a green one for later cars hope this helps mate
