change the gearbox oil of an mt75 box while its still on the car ?

also how about changing the oil on front and rear diffs hows it done roughly ?

no problem change the gearbox on when in the car, as there is a drain screw!
as for the front diff, i remove the bottom cover to drain, the rear has a drain plug

ok if there is / isnt a drain plug how do i top it up again ??????

and the same for the front diff how do i fill it up again ?

is the fill plug for the gearbox in an accesable position ?

the transfer box oil has been changed but the bloke didnt have time to do the other oils,

how often should the oil be changed in the box and diffs ?

OK
There is a drain plug and a level / fill plug on the gearbox.
Drop bottom cover on front diff to drain, clean mating surfaces, then refit using silicon sealer. Refill through fill / level plug.
On the rear diff, you will need to support the diff with a jack, unbolt the mounting, remove the cover bolts, then loosen and slide the cover down and off to let the oil out. Again, clean the mating surfaces before reassembly using silicon sealer. Refill through the fill / level plug.

Bernie, how often is it reccomended to change diff oil - stg1 4x4, doesn't really get a hard time.. ?

No specific time Rich, but not a bad idea to have a look at the rear planet gears while the lid's off. Look for pitting / wear

ok cheers Bernie - never a bad thing to change the oil for fresh, but curious what the 'official' line is, considering Ford don't fit a drain plug??
