Maybe a very silly question i know, but probably a very quickly answered 1 from a few of you guys. My first oil change, so just wanna know how many cans to buy.

How many litres to do a complete oil change?

a castrol rs can comes in 4 litres, i just stick the whole can in.

could you tell me why?

as i 15w-50 is whats in it at the mo and had no probs at all.
tottaly respect your knowledge, but always say, why change something if its doing no harm?

Because these cars were designed to take a 5w-40 here is what the database says for your car.

A3 is a performance spec.

FORD 1992-96 PT Escort RS Cosworth (4x4)
Lubricants Engine A3/B3 5W-40 3.6litres

thats fair enuff dude. do they do mobil 1 in 5w-40 motorsport. Is 5w-40 thicker than 15w-50?

No they don't and it's thinner.

If the car is tracked look at Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 and Motul 300V 5w-40 on my website. http://www.opieoils.co.uk
