Default Respray estimate?

One day I'd like to get my 2WD Saff resprayed in original Flint Grey, and have all the minor body glitches sorted (tiny bit of rust under both rear door windows and maybe a very slight dent here or there).

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the kinda price I'm gonna be paying, as I really don't have a clue!

Thanks

No set prices as everywhere will be different

Youre probably looking at a grand unless you can find someone willing to do a 'homer'

Bodyshops have good and bad reputations like any other business i would ask around.

I've just had my car repainted, full respray including, boot shut, door shuts and the top half of the engine bay. I did all the stripping and rebuilding, so delivered the car as a rolling shell with all major components removed. They then supplied it back in the same state.

It weighed in at over £2k but it was worth every penny, a truly stunning job

At the end of the day, you gets what you pays for.

If you pay less, they will spend less time on it and use cheaper materials, you spend more, they will hopefully spend more time and use better materials

Your probably looking at between £2-2.5k for a decent job, try and stay away from insurance authorised bodyshops tho

As a ex Esimator £2000 + materials used + how much rust and small dents cost, as a rough guide (rust under rear windows normally means new doors, secondhand good doors, or at least door skins) If bodged eg filled it will ALWAYS come back. You get what you pat for is the old saying and it is still very true. If you stick with companys that are insurance approved quality of work is usualy good with a garantee, but as with everything there is good and bad in both private repairers and insurance recomended repairers. Try for recomendations from friends or try someone recomended from this forum
Good luck
