8 of the old spec road kits were sold to a guy in sweden tomas motorsport,, he has now sold them to others ,,
we are talking about the new spec with a warrenty,, !!

yes you have two option
1) new original ford parts
2) we have remanufacted the original gear with stronger steel,,

the problems in the past have been people using a late spec second hand first gear,, and as we all know !!! there are two spec of first gear the sapphire and very first escort used one spec of gear,,, and the later escort used a different spec of gear,, ( slightly different pich on the teeth) and they do not fit together ,,,,

I have made that phone call you suggested and I can still get them no problem (in fact one should be landing within a few weeks).

Unless you are making the uprated first gear yourselves, I would advise that although the first batch of these have been made (in Sweden), they still haven't been finished. I expect this will take Bjorn another few months (especially with his holiday to Florida in April...).

I also know (after making the phone call you suggested), that you have so far only taken delivery of one of these gear-kits (the one in the photo) .

I think it is both unfair and misleading to suggest to people that you are the sole importer of these, when that is clearly not the case .

Given that these gearkits have been available for some time, I would also be interested in hearing how you helped develop them....

I would also point out to anyone reading this that the new first gears / main shaft (when available) can be retro-fitted to all current Fixit kits made over the last few years.

Also, you can't use a new first gear, as Ford no-longer make them , so it HAS to be a second hand (preferably crack tested and shot-peened and polished) item. The main shafts can still (currently) be bought new from Ford, but the new Fixit items when finished will mean these standard items (the only weak link) are no longer required .

YES YOU ARE STILL BUYING THE OLD SPEC KIT,
you will find if you place an order now your swedish supplier has had his wings clipped,,, as for the development we had the new first gear made,,, as for misleading people is that like when you take money for a brake kit and do not supply it ,,,,,,

1. What do these grooves do that would make the kit a different spec by removing them? For your information Bjorn has only been making one gear kit type for the last four years. The old type (of which I had in my car before the new type back in the late 90's was only rated to 450bhp).
2. You're a better a man than me as you can only normally contact him from 0800 to 1000, and trying his company mobile it - is switched off and his personal mobile is just ringing. A message has been left though to verify what you are saying .
3. Because you should know what Bjorn is like by now in getting his arse into gear to sort things out, so it has just taken him this long to do so . And if you think you had anything to do with this, that is laughable as Bjorn was with Tomas yesterday and Tomas provided him with some more parts to help with the finalisation of the first gears. Also at the time your ordered ONE gear-kit, Tomas had TEN. I can't see Bjorn cutting off his best distributer for any reason what-so-ever .
4. I think you are getting me confused with Martin Hadland who supplied Michael from Switzerland with the brake kit and I think you will find that he is very happy with it .
