last week the alternator went, then had the starter motor replced this morning.

for the last few days have had the tyre iron in the car to give the starter a whack each time i start it. went to put it back under the spare wheel and the rubber mount on the bottom of the wheel well has fallen through as the hole has rusted away....

any ideas what i can do now as the fuel pump is hagning low and may fall off anytime soon

suggestions people.

tie wraps i think...............gotta keep a spare as its handy. its just the hole rusted through..............evil rust, only thing thats wrong with my car

 

you said you have to whack the starter and have now replaced it. Have you got a turbo heatshield, mine didn't on my FRST and so would cook and jam the starter, so would need to whack it, if you aint got one it would be woth fitting one else it wont be long before your beating that starter again.

have got a 2 year guarntee with the starter so no worries there

just gotta figure out the fuel pump bracket problem......is it common??
