Most of the no win no fee places are shite, my mum works is a legal secretary and explained how they work once.
Basically, solicitors join up and are sent X amount of cases each week, it is then upto them to choose which ones they want to take on board.
Obviously they only go for the ones they are likely to win.

is this for the BSW thing or something else?

No win no fee stuff (more for accidents) are all rip off. You have to take out an insurance policy to cover you losing.

If its a clear cut case then take it up yourself. Go to the courts and get all the info. If I remember right, its about 150 quid to initiate your claim.
Buy one of these for a tenner to see what its all about

Jim - do a search on google on them. Read loads of dodgy stories in the papers. Like Insurance policy's not covering the full amount. Or them taking the money for the insurance FIRST out of your win. Then making a claim to get that back which can take ages after you've won. I personlly wouldn't touch any of those companies with a barge pole.

Rather than ringing round try to find one that does the first 30 mins free. You may get all the info you need just from that.
Most wont give out much info via a phone call as its not going to get them potential business

Me and my missus took her ex to court over an order to see his daughter and won with no solicitor!
As long as you listen carefully to what is being said and already have good answers for any questions they throw at you, you should be ok. Especially if you know you are in the right.
