Default thinking of selling the s1

once its bloody fixed,

i cant be doing with this, turbo gone again , why thought i cant understand

stage 2 turbo technics, done 3.5k, 16/21 psi

is it likely for this to go cos of the boost?

its always left to cool down and warm up

cheers

yep, that was the turbo company making bad turbos though,

i would of thought the turbo technics would of been fine,

the engine is brand new so no issues with oil feed, so why is the oil contamionated, it is changed every 4-6k depending on what driving i have been doing

What oil breather kit do you have on the car?

I have seen problems in the past where running similar boost to what your running with inadequate breathers has caused emulsification in the boost hoses.

If the above was the case then I suppose its feasable that over time this may well effect your turbo.

Not saying this couldnt happen, but didn't Stu build your engine up mate? Sure he would have had the above covered

it has a standard breather system, do you think a bailey breather system would be a wise choice?

Getting away from the standard set up and allowing crankcase preassures to be relieved can only be a good thing IMO.

Put a T34 and an after market oil breather on it
Have you got an oil pre filter in your oil feed pipe to the turbo?
Best Ł50 I spent on mine, saves the bullshit excuses of oil contamination

I think (but may be wrong) it's just a down pipe and boost hoses then a set up afterwards.

Your old one should be under warranty anyway shouldn't it?

Dunno, I hate the fucking things personally. Trumpet valves have been mentioned a lot on here and that they are only really needed when running a turbo close (or over) to it's limits or if the turbo is a large one like a T4 where the inertia can snap the shafts...

I presume that you are running standard management and still have the metering head from the comment about changing the hoses?

I put my T34 on when it had cossie management on so all I had to do was swap the turbo over.

You can go with an rs turbo exhaust housing and it'll go straight on to the turbo and exhaust without any mods but the turbo I bought had a cossie .63 housing on it so SCC made a custom downpipe for it to mate to the exhaust.

If you do go for the T34 , go for the cossie .63 housing
Worth it for the future

Couple of pics for you Andy to tease you

Cheers
Dave
