Depends mate, if your looking to restore it because you like the car and dont plan on selling it soon after, then yeah its worth doing. But if you want to make a profit out of the exersize then i dont think its the project for you!
remember, any car can be restored, depends on how far your skills go. You might want to consider re-shelling it? You can pick up a 3-door mk3 escort cheap enough and simply swap all the bits over.
If it was mine, i'd go for it mate!

I've had this car for 8 yrs and spent like us all a big amount of ŁŁŁ'ss,Most of which on the engine,But every year i give to any old garage to weld and patch for m.o.t.
And the above picture's are the outcome.I had a chance of a garage and took it thinking enough of giving my (S1-rst) to anyone.
And so here i am with her in bit's,
You lot on here make it look so easy(BUT IT ISN'T).

Looks alot of work but f you handy with the welder etc then just keep going at it. Just think, when it's done, you will know it's well sorted and it will be a show car as it's stripped so far down, everythink can be new or refurbished.

It takes big hairy balls to strip it the way you have, it can only get better from here, keep up the good work

My brothers got an x reg 3 door mk3 he's selling. Few dints but it is completely solid. Had one small patch of welding done under passenger side wing. This patch is on the wing itself and not the inner wings. Inner wings are solid. Cars only done 60k. I had it orginally and bought it off an old woman who had only used it once a week. Garage kept most of its life. Ideal for a reshell.

As for the S1 , No probs fixing that , you should see the state of my current projuct

no floor ( at all ) no rear wings , entire bulkhead is out , rear valance is non existant , doors , bonnet and tail gate are in the skip , and the roof is so foooooooooked im puttin a new one on .

keeps me out of trouble i spose.

He's selling the car as a whole wants about Ł150 but its ideal for a reshell. People are fitting mk3 panels on mk4's and this is better than most mk4's
