what alternator should I look for? I remember something about a Granada one?

 

I think it's the Granada 2.8 one but can't be sure.

IIRC you have to swap the pulley over from your Escort's original alternator as well.

yes its a granada 90 amp alternator i have one fitted on my car the fan belt will be a bitch to get on though but thats cool when u see 14.4 at the battery..... i would recommend you uprate the earth and live to the batttery and the charging lead as the standard crap will burn out

you should get 14.4 from a 70A alternator.

 

not if you have alot of things draining the battery!
