any one on here who works in a bank,who could quarry
this for me,say you have a loan from the bank over ten years
a go but you did not finish paying them off ,cause you lost ur job
say you owe them two grand will they write it off ,or would you
be still on their record

They won't write it off mate.

If you took out payment protection then you're fine, if not then they will repossess goods to the value they require.

they may well have outstanding records.. not sure what the legal side of it is though.. after that amount of time it might well have been written off

Would have thought if it was 15 years ago you would have heard from debt collectors by now (I Did within 3 months of not paying my loan )

Best bet is to check Eqifax and get your credit rating and see what that says

Where have you been for the last 15 years then?

I doubt they'd bother chasing the debt, but if they do the interest is going to hit you hard!

no iaint been in jail just havent been useing
the bank but now needs to open a debit account with the same bank
been at the same address for the last fifteen years but iam a bit worried
they might find out that i,owes them money

You will probably have a default registerd against you

Like fastKA said, get in touch with Equifax or Experian and request a copy of the info they have against you, from memory it only costs a couple quid or so

A default 15 yrs ago wont show on Equifax...

At least I doubt it very much..

Didnt you get court letters etc at the time??

Correct - they stay on reference agencies for 6 years but the bank will know. Go to another bank mate.
