SECS monitors
my m8 has just got a SECS monitor off a mate.......
thing is he has lost the LED that connects to it, and the wiring to the monitor is attached to a 2wd cossie loom.
has anyone got a wiring diagram to wire it into a 4wd cossie loom?
or
does anyone know if i can buy/have a patch lead or connector made to plug in line to my loom as i dont really wanna cut into it if possible.
im pretty good with soldering stuff into looms but bit nervous about cutting into cossie sensors + ECU wiring lol! Just in case i make a mistake n end up causing an engine drama!
any pics/diagrams/help much appreciated
Thanks

The 4x4 and 2wd wiring is the same....
IF you still have the original SECS loom from the monitor to the ecu
loom then this will apply...
CONNECTOR 1 PIN 1 - WHITE WIRE - MAP SENSOR - ECU PIN 15
CONNECTOR 1 PIN 2 - YELLOW WIRE - CHARGE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECU PIN 31
CONNECTOR 1 PIN 3 - BLUE WIRE - COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR - ECU PIN 29
CONNECTOR 1 PIN 4 - GREEN WIRE - THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR - ECU PIN 17
CONNECTOR 1 PIN 5 - GREY WIRE - ECU IGNITION SIGNAL INPUT - ECU PIN 25 (IF FITTED)
CONNECTOR 1 PIN 6 - NOT USED
CONNECTOR 1 PIN 7 - RED WIRE - 12 VOLT POSITIVE SUPPLY - ECU PIN 20
CONNECTOR 1 PIN 8 - BLACK WIRE - GROUND - ECU PIN 1
CONNECTOR 2 PIN 1 - BUTTON 1
CONNECTOR 2 PIN 2 - BUTTON 2
CONNECTOR 2 PIN 3 - BUTTONS COMMON
CONNECTOR 3 PIN 1 - OUTPUT 1 POSITIVE 12 volts (ALARM LED )
CONNECTOR 3 PIN 2 - OUTPUT 2 POSITIVE 12 volts (WATER INJECTION)
CONNECTOR 3 PIN 3 - OUTPUT 1 NEGATIVE (ALARM)
CONNECTOR 3 PIN 4 - OUTPUT 2 NEGATIVE (WATER INJECTION)
CONNECTOR 4 PIN 1 - NOT USED
CONNECTOR 4 PIN 2 - NOT USED
CONNECTOR 4 PIN 3 - NOT USED
CONNECTOR 4 PIN 4 - NOT USED
I advise soldering wires from the monitor on to the back of the ecu plug pins.
These are easily extracted to do this using a paper clip and a gentle
tug on the back of the wire.
If you need the original documents i am emailing them to you right now
