does anyone know how hard it will be to convert the engine, ecu, gbox, and other ancilleries from 1.48v golf mk3 to 1.820vturbo mk3 ?

I dont want to pay£4500 to have it done id drather buy the stuff for £2k and do it myself........

Differences like hydaulic clutch and cable gear change is the biggest issues IIRC.

 

A family member fitted all them gubbins into a Rallye, S3 lump & box to be exact............Oh the fun he had!!

But it did win the GTI Int sprint in 2000 / 2001 can't remember which!
