they werent fitted to the ecos, i diont recognise either of them ... just to let you know like

perhaps mine was an upgrade kit then?? or because its a 1994 model?

 

Yeah I think 94 models got the later versions

 

thinking about it the cd player might be the same but hu defo diff.... well there you go ay!!! !!

escort had 2007 and 2040 cd,yours have prob been swapped back to standard using sapph ones

 

I was told that the 2008 and 2028 stereo was used up until sept 93 the the 2007 and 2040 was used from there. I was also lead to believe that the pre sept 93 could have the 2007 and 2040 as an upgrade.

I actually have both sets of stereos so would be nice to know what the correct model is for it !!

 

when i had my 93 model it had the 2007,2040 in it,same as my 94,also had a 95 and same again

 

My 93 saph has 2007 radio and 2028 cd player.

 

Just had a look in the escort cosworth brochure (june 1992) for the big turbo and that shows the 2008 and 2028 stereo for the inside shot.

 

These are deffo early Escoss items as they are the same as whats in my car And they're quite rare too

 

looks like they must have used up the sapph ones on the early escorts then before upgrading to the new spec, as i said,my 93 model had the later ones so it must have just been the first 8-9 months worth that had them
