Why do people do it?? That must have cost a lot, and it's now worth what exactly??? Why the fuck does someone decide to do that, instead of buying a real Saff Cossie?

because they want to? or because they have an interest and are on a learning curve?

i bet that you have done a few things that other people have thought "why are you doing that, it has no use or meaning" but to you it was usefull and you learnt something

Why not?

If nobody did anything different then the modified car world would be a very boring place.

Actually I think a lot of these types of cars are insurance jobs. i.e. they buy a 1.6, give it a transplant but don't change the log book, or tell the insurance. They then insure it as a 1.6 and voila! Cossie power at 1.6 money. Very wrong, but very widespread.

Does look a good clean car though. I'd have had it if I was in the market.
