The ERST fuel mod????
I do not want to know how its done but is it to do with the electro pressure regulator? The reason i ask is i have this mod and have a spare regulator so when i next go to the rollers i can have it changed back to see if i get better fuelling.

I have heard of this before, wether its true or not i do not know? There is a screw on the back of it, and apparently u can play with this, i'd just take it with you next time you are at the tuners, and ask them.
If you find out it would be nice if you could let us know

The metering head on my car came from a Karl Norris set up car where the tweak was done. I know about the little screw to increase/decrease pressure but just need to know if i change the pressure actuator that the fuel mod is removed.

thats to increase fuelin at top speeds!
i ve seen it done to a few motors!
must work!

when you say pressure actuator are you talkin about the cylinder on the left hand side of the meterin unit?
if so i feel it will not make any difference if you swap it over cos you cant mod that part in anyway! you can add a vacum tube from your cross over pipe to the open end if the cyl on the meterin unit

i fancied a cossy but i borrowed me mates for a weekend wilst i done some bits on it for him and it bored me!
it was a stage 1 4x4 saph!
if it was a 2wd i think it would have been a different story!
but i ve had me turbo to long and spent to much to sell it on to some one who prob wont appreciate the blood and sweat that has gone into it!

No the bit on the other side with the electrical connection normally either black or grey

if ya only changin the sensor then it wont make a difference!
if ya adjustin the screw behind then yeah!

All tuned RSTs should have had the pressure actuator adjusted. It's used for the on boost enrichment. It adds a percentage of extra fuel to stop you melting your engine. When you have your boost incresed, the tuner should also adjust the pressure actuator to increase the percentage of fuel added.
There is only so far you can adjust the actuator. After this, there is more tricks that you can do the the KE jet to get it to fuel more.
This system is quite crude in the way it adds more fuel. The extra percentage of fuel added may well be too much fuel lower down in the rev range, and the car loses a bit of power compared to what it would do at that particular rpm with a well maped EFI system.
My own car has had the pressure actuator adjusted and it needed to be adjusted a hell of a lot to bring the fueling up. Even now, it doesn't fuel enough to cope with 14 psi on a standard T3 about 5000 rpm. I have to change gear at 5k otherwise I risk meltdown.

Its literally just a pipe onto the end of the pressure regulator, and goes inline with the dump valve vacuum pipes etc, im not sure whether its best to have it connected before or after the throttle body however (whether u need the vacuum side of it for anything)
The pipe assists the regulator and makes it run lean everywhere except for full throttle. Not good really.
You need a wide band lambda sensor before you start messing about with fueling mods. Then you need to know what you're looking for on the guage.
The electro magnetic fuel pressure actuator has to be removed to adjust it.

there was quite a big topic about this modification on my site
