Default ZVH advice

How much work is invloved in building a zvh engine?

I've got a stage 2 cvh head and stage 2 turbo in the garage so i was thinking of gettin a bottom end and just building a new engine, then i thought of the zetec bottom end instead

Just wonderd what is involved

You will need to either skim the standard pistons or get a set of LET Vauxhall pistons and have them modded to fit the Zetec rods to drop the compression. You will also need a plate to enable the use of the CVH water pump and will also need the 1.3 CVH cam belt tensioner.

I'm a big CVH fan and will be retaining them, in both my RST's. It's a personal thing. Do some research and see whether it will suit what you want from the car.

Have to admit I did look at going ZVH on my FRST but decided to stick CVH

how much do you think i would be looking at for a good 1.6 bottom end if i wanted to stick to the cvh route? just thought it is daft to bolt a nice head and turbo to a batterd bottom end thats all

My bottom end cost me £2200 to have it dropped out worked over and then put back in again.

Can't say on the Fiesta as it's on my drive at the mo and hasn't moved since the end of November
