Default Stage 3 cossie only boosting about 10psi?

Apologies for posting this in the general discussion but i did post in the Technical one but didn't get many responses.
Here's the problem, my car only seems to want to boost to around 10-12psi, i have changed the actuator, amal valve, hoses, and intercooler since this happened but i still can't figure it out, any suggestion welcome. Other that that the car is running as good as gold, no misfiring, it basically drives like a standard car, which is not what i want.
Thanks in advance, Rog.

Why do that? that is what the king of Rough Bastids would do!!! Rog as I said check that your Actuator is set right, there was no sign of air leaks and no probs other than lack of boost!! By the way will have your bumper from Bob

Ok cheers dude, so r u having the whole car then, another one to add to the collection??? Definately not going near any bleed valves i hate them with a passion! I've ordered a garrett -31 actuator, should get it tomorrow but i don't think that's the problem. i've had the turbo off and checked the wstegate, there's nothing odd looking there either. Cheers for your input guys

what about your dump valve. do you have one with a piston or not. maybe your dv is leaking air under pressure.

disconnect the actuator rod from turbo and make sure that penny is closed properly before you refit and adjust to your required boost settings

Cheers, i've tried all that, removed the dump valve etc..... got a new actuator, checked the amal valve, changed the hoses and intercooler, but still no more boost, i just cannot find ANYTHING wrong! yet the car runs as tho it's standard, pulls well for the boost it's running.

Just wandered if it could infact be the MAP sensor, but the car seems to run ok otherwise.

Beliveve it or not i've actually tried that.......
It's the 3rd on i've tried so it can't be that, it was boosting about 20 odd psi for about 2 years and then one day it decides to go to about 10 without me touching anything.

Have you got your old 2 bar MAP sensor? if so swap it and see if the boost goes up a bit!

try connecting the hose direct from the turbo to the actuator

and see if the boost changes atall

if it drops lower then adjust the actuator up and see if the boost will now go above 12 psi

you could take the hose off the actuator (so the wastegate wont open) n see what it boosts to... if it shoots off the boost gauge n goes like stonk then the wastegate/turbo's probably ok n its just setup wrong... if it still boosts to about 10-15psi then you have a problem with your turbo and/or wastegate

do like i did yesterday;
Take off hose at actuator, then it will run full (as actuator is adjusted). when full boost is adjusted put hose back on actuator for ECU controll of boost.

Cheers Kennert

I've got a new amal valve and -31 and i pressure tested them both with a pump, think it may be the turbo just struggling now. I cranked up the boost today and it only hits 19psi peak, i was giving it some on the way to work 2day and it cut out when i was in 4th about 5k rpm, pulled into the side and it statred again first time so it seems like something electrical could be causing it? Give me strength!
