when changing the clutch i know the box has to come out but does the transfer box come out aswell ?

how easy is it change the oil in the transfer box and the front and rear diffs ?

any help much appreciated........matt

the transfer box is bolted onto the back of the gearbox so both come out together

also piss to change the oil in all three diffs

are they the same ones as the workshop 1 and 2 manuals gareth ?

if so they are in my boot lol

what oil should be used in the diffs i know the transfer box has auto gearbox oil in it and the gbox has special oil in it

how much oild does the transfer box and the 2 diffs need ?

i cant remember what oils are needed off the top of my head (my brain is fadeing fast )

ya they are the normal manuals

car is going in for clutch on monday, ordered the mt75 oil, just need some auto oil for transfer box and some oil for the diffs

just recalled aswell that you need mt75 gearoil for the mt75 gearbox, (how the fuck could i forget that )

got the mt75 oil sorted from gearboxman

sae-90 oil............. is that just the same as automatic gearbox oil ?

the transfer box only needs half a litre of oil in it

the 2 diffs need i litre

just been told SAE-90 oil is gear oil so i need 1 litre of automatic oil for the transfer box and 2 x 1 litre of SAE-90 hypoid gear oil for the diffs

is this right with other people ?

to change the oil in the diffs, is it a case of taking a drain plug out or do you have to take the casing apart etc

if so do you need any new gaskets or anything to do this ?

You need to take the covers off both diffs to drain.
Clean the mating surfaces, then use silicon sealer.
