can get some steel rods but there for a focus zetec are all the xonrods same size a mondeo zetec ones

 

So long as its the Zetec engine in the mondeo and not a Duratec then yes. They will be fine.

so you can buy steel rod for the black top from the US and then fit them in the silver top zetec?? as the rods for the black top is a lot cheaper from the US

Focus rods are LONGER than Mondeo ones.

The Focus pistons have the pin at a different height to the mondeo ones, so overall, Focus Pistons + Focus Rods = Same Length as Mondeo pistons and Mondeo Rods.

f you mix Focus and Mondeo parts, you'll get a different length, so keep them matched.

But, focus rods are definatly longer than the mondeo ones! If it wasn't xmas, BigWig could take a pic of Mondeo vs Focus rods he has in work

 

so if a black top zetec engine has a compression of 9.0:1 what would that make a zvh as the cvh head lowers the comp when u put a cvh hea don
