there is technically a speed limit but ive never bothered with it,,,,,,,,,, infact i average 130 plus along there

i think the old bill dont enforce it as its 3.50 to go on it so can cost a fair bit

btw people claim they hide behind the bridges but im not the only one doing 140 along there i can promise ya

Every time I've been on the M6 toll I've seen a police car patrolling, several times they have pulled someone up.

Its a normal road , normal rules apply, in every respect, it just costs you money to travel on it. I doubt if the police pay to patrol it.

No the police don't pay, neither do these others:

(2) A toll order shall contain provision exempting from liability to pay any toll—

(a) a police vehicle, identifiable as such by writing or markings on it or otherwise by its appearance, if being used for police purposes;

(b) an ambulance as defined in section 4(2) of the [1971 c. 10.] Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971;

(c) a fire engine as so defined;

(d) a vehicle exempt from duty under that Act by virtue of—

section 4(1)(g) of that Act (invalid carriages),
section 4(1)(kb) of that Act (vehicles used for carriage of disabled persons by recognised bodies), or
section 7(2) of that Act (vehicles used by or for purposes of disabled person).

Has anyone ever noticed that even when there aren't many cars on the M.6 Toll, the car park in the services is usually full?

how many times have you used the toll road,,,,, ive used it over 20 times so not alot i admit but ive NEVER seen the old bill on it,,,,,,, i only use it so i can stretch the cars legs

as for the services,,,, its cause its the cleanest serviced available and got a nice costa coffee bar there that serve a nice cup of coffee , spend ya 3.50 and its over in a blur,,,,,,,, this way you get to take some time with the money spent

seriously dont belive you have seen the old bill patrol everytime you have been on it unless you are driving at 30mph there

btw steve is right too, they can send a letter but then unless they can prove your car wasnt cloned 9 reported your plates stolen is a nice touch to help prove the matter i find in these situations

ps, no way have you seen the old bill every time, or if that is really true what time do you use it and ill know to use the M6 that time

see thats just speeding and dangerous

first time i used it was after veiwing the cossie i bought off you, was a accident as i HATED toll roads

but when i went on it and i never went below 100 i thought it was the nuts

next time i used it was the first time i ever drove a rwd car,,,,,, the cossie i bought off you, ill never forget looking at the speedo doing 135 and the road angels shouting

"LASER LASER, CHECK SPEED !!!!!"

almost wrote it off hitting the brakesm was on a the long sweeping left hand bend too

so i sold the road angle 2 and bought a snooper

Ive seen coppers on there a lot, you just gota keep your eyes peeled, esp when doing 140+

But ye you can get done, same motorway restrictions apply apparently ALTHOUGH I have heard of people being pulled for speeding, and just being told to slow down or getting a producer

Found this on here http://www.m6toll.co.uk/faqs/

Q: What is the speed limit?
A: The M6 Toll is regulated just like any other motorway and the speed limit is 70mph.

So whats the crack with it, as ive never actually used it yet...

Toll at the start, and clear exits, no stopping?

(obv those questions was purely out of interest, not anything to do with checking the ability to run from the police...)

whats he done to it now

cant blame me as you now ASOON AS I FINISH THE CAR i told him to get the base idle adjusted aswell as get it set up

to this day he has done what

car had NO SMOKE when it left me, 2 month later he has oil burning issues,,,,,,,, but then he ignores problems,,,,,,,,,,

JUST LIKE HE NEVER SENT MY FUCKING SNOOPER OFF TO BE REPAIRED BEFORE HE WENT AWAY even though he told me he did

owning a performance car you have to be aware when theres issues to get em sorted, not ignore em and then blame others when it dies

steve the toll is in the middle mate, so it makes it harder

you lead onto it, just like if you go on the M42 from M1, half way theres services, then the toll booth and then its back to the normal M6
(you can tell by the traffic and the fact your doing 90mph again and think your driving fast )

tbh at night its no faster than the M6 and dont actually save much time UNLESS your guning it or theres road works ( but there all futher up past it now )

he aint balmed u, i was only joking.
thats what i like about the nova, the engine is standard. and it aint being strained anless driven hard as the car is so light.

well at least it wont be once its finially finished.

did u get that bolt off?

but about the m6 toll road. it is defo worth the money, not only does it reduce the risk of traffic, but its fun to test ur car.
unfortunally my poor old 1400 only managed just over 120!

I dont think the police could catch anyone on the Toll Road TBH

The Toll Road is cool....Lee R21 has a vid of me and Dave Cos4x4 having a leisurely drive going to Central day. Think we were cruising at 152mph when Dave's engine let go all over the front of my car

GINGE - when i used it yesterday there was a copper on the other carrageway that had pulled someone over!!

tbh tho if i payed £3.50 to use it, im gonna get my moneys worth

so that clears that up then that you can still get anally fucked by the rozzers for speeding on an EMPTY road at 4am
