Need to upgrade my phone - got a Nokia 6230 last year and it's a bit mashed and keeps crashing - so popped into my pals phone shop yesterday to see what I could get as an upgrade. Liked the look of the 6680 that Stu's got, but they don't do it on T-Mobile, but he (my pal in phone shop) tells me the N70 is virtually identical, and better...

Anyone got one, and if so, are they any good? Look nice, but how well do they work, how easy to use etc..... Thats the reason I stick with Nokia's is cos they are "kids phones" in as far as any muppet can work out how to use it

 

I got one last month on a free upgrade and sent it back the next day, didn't like it all
prefered my 7610, I'm a Nokia only person and they haven't had anything recently that has interested me

 

What was it you didn't like about it Paul? I am probably getting mine 2morrow, so this is all a bit academic really, but I'm interested to know

 

Menu system and ease of use mainly, maybe its just me but phones are getting way too complicated these days

 

i like mine m8 bit more tech than other nokias but a really good up to date phone about Ł500 2 buy

watch tv on then as well sky

I need to change? and it must have an in car kit holder (genuine nokia) available too

 

Im not sure where the N70 differs to the 6680 to be honest....

The 6680 deffo has teh best looking car cradle though.

 

Think the main ones dave are the N70 or the 6880 that are out atm..

I been trying to upgrade to the N70 for 2 weeks now over the phone! They give me a estimated delivery date I call and its still not been delivered!!! I want one!

just got a 6680 , seems alright , but not sure what size memory card to use for the tom tom 5 software.
what size are you using Stu?

 

I'm using a 512MB RS-MMC DV. TomTom software is 100mb!

where do you dock the phone in the car to charge? and how does it mute the stero and play through the speaker etc?

 

There isnt a dock for charging, its exactly as yours with the speaker etc, seperate mic, but all run by one joypad which is the size of a 10ppiece.. its the nuts

or... hang on...

 

naah, I want the docking station, I like to see who's calling etc...


Nokia do do a bling display from what i remmeber on their website... mmmmmmmmmmm installllll

TBH you may just be able to fit a seperate cradle... I dont think either of thse handsets will fit the 6230cradle
