as above!!! it dosnt smoke on boost only when i back off. a friend thought it could be turbo oil seals... anyone got any ideas???

 

when the t2 turbo seals go they go big time and you'll get loads of smoke when you back off. check for play in the shaft

 

hi... cheers 4 reply. theres smoke but not massive amounts...i have got a t3 on mine dunno if that makes much difference. there is a bit of play in the shaft. wots your veiws on havin turbos reconditioned??? cant realy afford a new 1 at the mo.

 

My t2 went i had no smoke at any time just jammed with no warning

 

thats not good... i hope mine dosnt do that.

 

my seals are gone on mine she did smoke quite a bit then i topped her oil up and she dont smoke as much i got a seals kit for the t2 but its only tempary(sp) im gona get a t3 conversion soon

deffo shagged, blow back is the early signs of seals going get it changed mate.
JRS my t2 jammed for a split second on the motorway at 120mph on full boost (8psi) it just jammed then released dead quick resulting the following day with blow back then constant smoke.
