mines 375ish bhp on light blues with t34 your car has to be pre 90 tho to be eligable for classic policy
Also i had 9points when i took out the policy which i'm told can make your insurance cheaper(??????)

I always ring round loads for quotes wait till i find two that are reasonable and keep going to and from the 2 companies bartering them against each other i never pay by install ments and always Buy my insurance there and then (I'll say things like "give me the best price and I'll buy today")
afterall the people on the other end of the phone are sales people and will Deal if you push hard enuff you just have to be really cheeky

Incidentlly my cars insured with HIC garaged CAT1 and limited to 5k miles a year
^^ try and barter them against Flux dont accept the 1st quote they give you EVER!!

Difficult to quantify whose a trader and who isn't though. You might be a very low seller of crappy cars. But you're right, having a traders policy is not a good long term solution as IIRC you don't build any NCB so could end up in 5 years paying more for insurance than if you'd done it properly in the first place.

bearing in mind he buys and sells cars i presume that entitles him to a traders policy

Mate its very possible, my spec is im 23, 4 yrs NCB and NINE POINTS declared all my mods and they quoted me..........

£860

thats TPFT so it wont be a lot more fully comp

Try Adrian Flux - they came up with the goods, my advice ring em ring around coz my current insurers Directline quoted me £1200 for a standard car and i thought that was good
