Default stage 1 superchip... problems!!!

hi people!!! i have just fitted a stage 1 superchip and i think its fucked. the car runs fine for about 15 mins then if i rev any higher than 3000rpm it has no power and sounds like its overboosting or misfiring. i took the chip out and it runs fine again. i got the chip from e-bay its not new. has anyone had the same problem or knows what could be causing this to happen?

You could have bought a knackered chip. To be honest, Ebay is not exactly the best place to go buying chips.

I'm wondering if you're getting boost creep or the gauge you used is reading low and you are hitting the overboost protection. Try winding the boost down a couple of psi and see if you get the same problem.

If the chip's had it I doubt if it can be repaired, the're usually encased in resin to stop people taking them apart.

Any joy with winding the boost down?
