Default Holding Back, Sounding like a Scooby & Backfire like ALS

my s2 when i start it up for the 1st time of the day. my car is hard to start and runs lumpy when i rev her up as if she aint running on all cylinders. if i hold it at 3k it sorts it self out. i then drive it when i come on boost normally in 3rd gear it will hold back and sound like a scooby sometimes it will backfire quit loud and pop and bang like ALS . once its done that its fine for the rest of the day. but it does this everyday.

any ideas?

if its not been run for a while then u should put new ford plugs, leads, rotor arm and dizzy cap on.

Timing also may be retarded.

Ok, id defo check the dizzy cap though - any moisture in there is a no no. It actuallyu sounds like it's over fueling - have u got the cold start injector connected?

mine does the same (startup misfire), just had new plugs, leads, cap, arm, setup @ Pramsport...

When i told jamie, he said it could be the injector seals...

worth a shot maybe? there were some on ebay a while back for cheap...
