im just enquireing for a friend to see if anyone knows if a st170 engine will fit in a mk3 fiesta

we have 4-2-1 manifold and omex600 and throttle boddies and cams/ported head 11.5:1 C/R planned for the conversion and hoping that it will produce 230 bhp

is it the same as fitting a zetec where you just cut and shut the top engine mount?

i have managed to fit a black top in to a mk3 using the cvh engine mount but never got to see a focus st170 engine in the flesh to work it out for my self

any advice about this would be verry helpful

it will fit in the bay same as a zetec, not sure about gearbox thou

 

Same bellhousing, the starter is on the rear as per Blacktop.

 

you do know a st 170 is only 170bhp athe flywheel and is about 150bhp at the wheels

 

i thought about this too as thay have a 6 speed box as standard

 

yeah would be sweet to have a 6 speed box in a mk3 fiesta i think the gear change is done with 2 handbrake cable type thincs on the focus so i dunno how i would connect the gear stick

any idea how strong thease engines are to rev past 7.5k ?
