g force rolling road is good,, they use a dynodynamic rolling road which is regarded as one of the best out there

just make sure they set up the power run correctly

Nobles = Chesterfield, a fair old way.

GForce = Aylesbury way

Also WRC @ Silverstone, Chris who used to be RR man @ GForce runs it I think.

All do @ Wheels figures.

As for reading high, where's there's a RR printout, there's a debate.....lol

Alan Jeffrey?

WRC Tech at Silverstone?

Both Dyno Dynamics rollers, and even EVO magazine use WRC Tech to measure test cars.

Best to speak to them then in that case, as 'renting the rollers' is different to a power run, and they may not be able (insurance), or want to offer that.

Exactly! And for all the good stories I have heard an equally bad one.

If you don't mind traveling Scooby Clinic have a 4x4 rolling road also in Chesterfield. But I'd have to meet you or something as its on a farm in the middle of nowhere

The DD is about the best for 2wd for wheel spin.

Cyril was done at G force, Daves has never been on the RR only the Engine dyno, Scooby clinic 01246590807,
If you want to map on it you can hold the load and map not just power run mapping,
They do rent there RR to mappers, You should be able to tell the operator how you want it run.

Cheers Mark

no dont want to map it on rollers, but will want to trim the fuelin on the day so perfect for the different conditions.

wot it is, as i'm stuck with the boost problem, i want to see wot power its runnin @ 26 psi,

then if low then i know theres a problem some where else, but if it gets 500 bhp, then we know its the exhaust housin maxxed out.

i've heard this a few times now, what, apart from rumor makes you say that ???
if you want i can sort out a dyno slot for you P.E. where you can run through your needs with the tuners, sit in the car if need be, make your own adjustments if you feel the need.
a standard dyno slot is 1.5 hours, the guys understand your need to be with your car when its done, Chris will love it, he's just converted his 1.9 cvh turbo'd supercharged nos'd mk 1 fiesta to rear wheel drive!!!
oh, we did have the rollers recalibrated a few weeks ago aswell

Hi,

cos PE used to be one of the closest rollers to me, everyone local used to use them,

i've raced quite a few cars thats been on PE's rollers and they have never gone as well as they should of (by the power figure they have @ the fly) always seem 20 to 30 bhp ott.

but i am goin back a couple of years.

for instance my brothers pulser got dyno'd at Power station and got 256bhp@fly at 1 bar, he raced his mate (pulser runnin 1.1 bar) who got 309 bhp at PE 2 days before, and my brother pulled 4 car lengths on him on 4 races (from 40mph to 150mph) They both started in the same gear, both had 2 passengers, and neither car had been touched since the rollin road figure.

And its the same for EA,

i'm not dig'n at them, just i want a true power figure.

That figure is VERY low for 1bar. I would suggest it's your brother who got the inaccurate figure. The average 1bar Pulsar is around the 280bhp mark, even with the top mount ic.

The 309bhp figure would be possible at 1.1bar, but only with a front mount intercooler. The top mount would be around the high 290's

Cheers

Cheers,

but there was no way that pulser was over 280 bhp when my brother raced him.

You could be right about my brother car bein nearer 270-80 bhp as it done countless 12.8's @ 104-6mph at that spec, but there was no way it was more.

the evo guys had a RR day there and cars were down on power they dont have good enough fans and at the time they had no exhaust extraction
Go to abbey (or PJ if its a dyno pack) only way for big powered cars to get a true reading at the hubs
