Default Anyone got pics of a RWD Cossie from underneath?

I need a pic of the gearbox mount as installed on the bottom of a Cossie. I believe the mount on mine had been installed the other way 'round

Cheers in advance!

Mo, just turn it around the other way and see how it fits... I found this out with mine too, the mount was turned around to accomodate the MT75 but I was able make it fit the correct way. You can always crawl under John's car. Call me later

If you need, I can try to take a picture of mine? Let me know.

Thanks Eric, that would be real cool. A pic of the driveshaft angle where the center bearing meets would help too. Haven't heard from John yet, Wes - left him a message though. Post it to my merouby@yahoo.com acct.

Mo, I was reading a thread on the MCA board regarding correctly setting the driveshaft angle... it said an incorrect angle can affect the guibo (sp) and the smoothness. Just FYI, I'm not sure if this applies to the Cosworths.

RWD Cosworths don't use Guilbos (driveshaft donuts). I know everything else Sierra wise (including 4x4 Cosworths) do use them. But thanks for the advice.

Good to know. When I put my car back together I did'nt pay much attention to the driveshaft angle but no issues... yet. Hope it works out.
Do think you'll get a chance to mail that piece soon?

I'm not having vibration issues. Just clunking from something underneath. Inspection shows the gearbox mount bush (bushing) is faulty. Hence the request.

Will have it out on Monday so long as the wife doesn't impose some plans on me, like she did yesterday. Is the bodywork ready to be done?

Clunking... may be the u-joints or the center bearing. If the center bearing needs replacing try your local truck repair shop, most box trucks use a similar configaration.

Ok thanks, I saw a guy this week about the windows... waiting to hear from him on when I can bring the car over.
