CG-Lock anyone here tried it?
It's a device that clamps onto the seatbelt and keeps the lap bit tight.
Supposed to be ideal for track days etc as it keeps your hips firmly positioned like a harness would but still allows the inertia reel bit to work on the seatbelt.
My only concern is that with a seatbelt tensioner if it's already tight you could do some serious injury if the crash activated it.
Going to try it on the Ka, which doesn't have the tensioners, but just wondered if anyone else had tried one?
Sounds ideal for when i go road rallying as I get fed up sliding around the seat.

 

Martin uses one on the Metro. He thinks its good

 

Just fitted it and went for a quick spin round the block.
Certainly keeps you clamped in the seat.

umm we will be probably.
The one I have is a sample to test it, just wanted some independent feedback as to whether they were any good or not, as the usual manufacturers sales blurb is overly gushing.

Well I got the info on the pre-tensioners bit.
It has been fully NCAP tested as well.
Seems the tensioners only activate if there is slack in the belt.
So if you have it tight across your lap they won't operate.
Been using it for the last 2 days on the road and it does make you feel much more secure in the seat.
Be interesting to try it on a track day next year.
