Harvey has one, wicked beasts. They do a twin GT35 conversion giving over 900bhp

Ask Jason about importing, he bought in a navigator or something like that I think.

rhys to behonest mate their not worth bringing in i bought the nav in for 27k everything SVA etc.Ive just sold it for the guy who bought it of me for 25k at the time you couldnt get one for under 40k here, considering my girlfriend lost about 10k on her BMW in a year you can pick a SRT-10 up for about 25k in the uk if you look.I think you would struggle to get one in from the states for even that. And you pay a tax on a comercial vehicle which sucks.

Jase yeah, i seen some advertisied in specialiset for relativly cheap money. Though working out import costs and tax etc i suppose it wouldnt has been much of a gap in price after all.

i import cars from u.s, quick example..
$35000 truck would be.
£20000 cost plus £800 ship n insurance, uk handling £150.
so thats £20950 then 22% import duty thats £4609 add it
thats £25559 then theres the vat man which is £4472 add that
and its cost you £30031.00 not so cheap as everyone thinks!!
you can save a few quid if you know someone there just write invoice back a bit..

The other thing with the SRT-10 is the size, so the resale is such a limited market in the UK, this has brought the resale price down alot here, thats great if you want one though, then there the 10mpg compared to 21mpg from my truck, Personally though I'd stick with my F150 lightning as they are alot more user friendly size wise although still big, Also they are very very good for tuning, with very little work mine is now running 13.01's @ 105.8 at pod and an SRT-10 still wouldn't be close and the initial investment would still be higher. If I keep mine it'll be running 11's very soon oh and I can still tow my cossie to the track should I need to.

dannys right on, i used an srt for a few days in florida, it sounded nice
but the gears were tricky and i think my lightning was quicker and alot better to drive,
and not to offend dodge trucks are a bit rednecky!

just for information purposes Dodge are selling these in the UK as official cars now and so come with a 3 year warranty, think theyre 45k from them though. As above, much prefer the F150 as a vehicle though, the Harleys' appeal to me I muist admit.

Harley's are to big and slow for me, bit like comparing scorpio cosworth to a 2wd saph cosworth.

if you wanted to import a truck from the states, or anywhere infact, if posible, get the engine taken out, crated up and put on the bed of the truck. this way you can import it as parts and you dont have to pay the 22.5% tax.

bit of agro but if youre gonna be saving £5000 or so on tax on a 20k+ truck its worth it!

I was gonna import a Lightning a couple of years back but it took a back seat, now you can get em for under £18k for a 2 year old one, you can barely buy one for that in the USA at the mo. Our high fuel prices have hit the sales of them quite hard.
