its right by the sea, is all i know

 

Bruntingthorpe is no where near the sea ! - lol

 

so they drive all those brand new motors all the way upto Anglesey from central england area i'd imagine, just to whizz them round the track, and thats only when the weather is fine...

seems a bit silly to me...

 

All their test routes are in mid wales too, so makes perfect sense!

Birmingham (Fifth Gear offices are there) to Wales apprx 70 miles

 

as it called anglesy test track would say its in anglesy

 

never heard them mention it on the programme though

 

i know tiff has mention it before saying its his fav track

 

Birmingham to angelsey = a hell of a lot more than 70 miles!

Its called Mona and its in Anglessey

 

It`s actually called TY CROES......

 

Spot on bro I have been rallying there since the early 90's It used to be one right rough and tumble place, but since they modded the track, and added the rallycross bit (and bar ) its gone from strength to strength.

Mona is an active airfield and NOT used for any mainstream filming or motorsport

Quite a few track days are held there by various companys now, so you can take anything on if you pay the money.
