Can any one tell me if the doors of an s2 are the same as a S1, if they fit but are differant is the differance noticable !!!!!!!!!

 

are the same the only difference is a small plate needs tacking on the inside were the inside handle goes, as s1 handle is shorter if i remember correctly fitted 2 s2 doors on my s1 last yr takes minutes to alter dont even need welding my mate screwed his adaptor plate on dont worry mate is a simple task u will see what i mean if u fit 1 hard to explain hope this helps

 

A m8 at are my local rsoc got a pair of grey doors complete for Ł50pr as am having full respray over xmas as some tw@t put deadlocks in the bottom of my doors also one has split at the bottom ,cheers for info

 

yeh spoiles the doors when they put ded locks in think i replied to u on the rsoc site go for it mate thats a bargain if the doors are mint

Not 100% sure but i think the bottom of the door will sit proud of the bottom of the B post. Its only very slight but will casue the door to bend on that edge.

 

NO THEY DONT I NO LOAD OF LADS WITH S2 DOORS ON A S1 I HAD 2 ON MINE BOTH EXACTLY THE SAME FIT PERFECT IF U TRY AND ORDER A DOOR SKIN IT IS FOR A MK3/4 CAUSE THERE THE SAME ONLY DIFFERENCE WERE INSIDE HANDLE GOES

 

S2 doors have a larger hole for the lock, so the S1 lock won't fit anymore.

 

what about the mirrors do they fit ? i expect dave could repair your doors

series 2 door on mine fits fine, mirror fits fine, as for door lock dont know mines de-locked as for the handle mod inside dead easy you will see the difference when you put a door card up against it , dead easy to do just about to put another s2 door on another series 1

 

got to get this done as being painted very soon, cheers all for help
