Default Wet Floor

Bit of a strange one this, as its been fine driving around, but i work away alot & the car stays in the work compound for a week at a time, and when i got back on fri (after alot of rain this week), the car was steamed up, and the seats were damp, but the rear footwell was soaked

Sooooo, where could it be coming from? window seals? sunroof? got me stumped.

Anyone had this problem?

Many thanks.

Mark.

Need to check the obvious place that you have mentioned, and then for things like holes in the engine bay (ie rusted battery tray, so water can get through) there is also the posibility that the heater matrix may of sprung a leak?

It's gonna be a bit of detective work matey!

Just wanted to find out all the diff places it could be coming from, then spend some time looking at them all.

I took it thru a carwash to check for any leaks & couldnt see any, i'm so confused

Also, dont think it could be the heater matrix, as its the rear thats wet, which is really confusing.

Pain in the arse as i have to keep cleaning all the windows before i can drive it

Dont think it can be anything front related, as the front footwells are dry compaired to the rears, and i dont see how it can be a hole in the floor, as its been standing for a week, bootlid isnt rotten, boot itself is dry, just the rear footwells and the surrounding area.

so confused

Your be surprised where the water ends up, still cud be from the front. when it builds up on the floar pan you dont notice it and when you start driving, pulling away ect, the water rushes from the front to the rear, gives the impression its leaking from the back.

hate water leaks

Would also get a few tubes of clear silicone

I used 3 tubes on the battery tray, heater surround and fuse box alone!!!

Can you get some pics and show me where you mean?

did you put it on the inside, or engine bay side?

Looks like it has already had a battery tray welded in, but i will check it anyway.

Cheers for the help lads
