I dont Know if you lot can tell me if my ecu has been chipped from these pictures.

I was just wondering rather then buy one. because i am off to power engineering on the 12th. i cant drive mine till 12th because of no insurance.

Not sure if u can tell by looking at it if its been chipped or not.

im 99% sure that ain't chipped mate usally when there chipped the don't have the silver cover over the chip

can you see if that chip has a sticker on it under the silver cover like a blue S or a tuner's name on the chip??

 

as antony215 says. look under that silver clip, the chip with have a sticker on it saying what the chip is, mine still has that silver clip and i have a collins chip fitted on mine, my outcase also has collins writen on it.

 

Is the silver clip easy to Remove to see the chip under it. i do it at lunch only takes about 10 mins to get it out


So on the chip i am looking S or a tuners name?

im not sure how easy the silver clip comes off, but on mine, i could see collins writen on the chip with out taking the silver clip off.

 

Right ive got the ecu out again and took it to bits and the ecu is like this with the silver clip off

looking at that i say it's not chipped that's a standard chip you've got in there
