Default V6 4Motion or ST 170

As title,

We are going to look at a Golf 4Motion tomorrow with a veiw to trading in the ST. What do you recon?
The golf is older by quite a few years but i recon that in 3 years time it will still be worth more than the Focus.
Anyone had one?

Paul.

Had one for 9 months - got rid only because I did 19K miles in that time. Good car. Approx 29-32mpg on a run (85-90mph), depending on make of tyres. Nothing went wrong apart from an air-con valve (about £70 to repair/regas). Would have one again if I needed to downgrade.

im afraid to say id have the golf.. just because you can beat the sound of a v6.. the st in comparison is going to sound very dull.. and to get the best out of a 170 you have to rag it in all gears

Know what you mean. I know that the one im going to look at needs a cam belt @£450 so that would have to be done as part of the deal

My wife has one, just replace her VR6 highline, and i can not believe how much quicker the 4motion is!!!!!!

It has masses of low down torque and comes with all the toys, leather recaro's, sunroof, heated seats, climate control, ESP e.t.c

I really enjoy driving it, almost as much as my S4........... i said almost.
