I'm trying to sell a Laptop on ebay (450 quid, Toshiba centrino brand new with warranty etc if anyone wants )

I keep getting bidders at the last minute which are scams, ie i will pay via postal order, im Nigerian, my assistant will collect when he has finished blowing me bla bla bla.

I've put on the ad, no foriegn bidders, and noone with no feedback.

How can i stop this?

Thos Nigerians need ot relise that i think most people know they are a con. And not a very good one at that! lol

yeah ive had loads when offering a buy it now price. luckily i didnt get any when doing a straight auction.

 

You can block all overseas bidders from bidding if you want to!
Go into your 'My Ebay' page
Box on left at the bottom entitled 'related links' click the bottom option entitled 'more'
Managing your items - click on 'block/pre-approve bidders'
In the 'Buyer requirement prefs' select 'are registered in countries you don't post to'
There are other useful options in there as well.

Just put a little note saying : Scammers beware, the last person that fucked me over got some serious virus on their pc

 

I had a few problems.

Since I put that in my payment instructions, touch wood, I've not been bothered.
If they know, you are aware of the scams they might as well not waste their time.
