as tiff says

but if you mean what will be sufficient for a stage 3 cossie then the answer is a genuine group A head gasket

the montune needs a totally flat head and block deck ( means skimming em in most cases) the group A and that fussy as such and aint 400 quid

the montune is ideally for greys and over, the commetic is ok too no matter what a few people may claim as loads of others AINT had a problem

the new cometic should be fine, but as with any metal gasket, the head and block faces need to be 100% Perfect and flat, as they dont cover some of the imperfections that a fibirous gasket can.

Has your gasket blown, or are you just being cautious and want to fit a new one?

IF yours has blown, then skim the head, when you fit a new one.

Unless you know the block is flat, i wouldnt fit a metal one personally, they just arent as forgiving.

To flatten the block means taking the engine out and then stripping the engine down, as when its skimmed swarf will go into the oil and waterways.

Trouble with that is he may think I mean "In general" as opposed to specifically regarding this thread....
