Default Cossie problem???????

My 2wd has had a miss at the top end of the revs for a while now, i was told it was probably the cps or phase sensor. I changed the cps and still no joy.

But tonight was racing a turbo nova changing gear early etc so it wasnt missing, anyway came to some traffic so chilled out, once the car moved went to send her away again but it just cut out and died and missed like fook when trying to even give it very light throttle. I then pulled over let it tick over for a while and then set off home car was fine driving as normal for a few miles then it started missing but only after it hit boost, drives perfect off boost.

I thought i had possibly melted a plug but just whipped them out and there all fine.

ANY IDEAS WOULD BE MUCHO APPRECIATED

I had a similar thing in my 3 door. I bought a new phase sensor but when i went to set the gap up on it i found the spindle in the dizzy was so worn that i couldn,t set the gap at all.Must have spun round ok at low revs then go all wonky when giving it beans

racing a turbo nova?
a 400bhp cossie will struggle with a turbo nova!!!!

make sure your fuel pump is giving enough juice at high revs.
Also check your phase sensor wires arent stickin out inside the dizzy!!!

any more problems/wrong replys please let me know!

Sean.

So could be the phase sensor then, na turbo novas/corsas aint that much cop tbh, a mates s2 used to keep up with nova turbo's.

I convincinly pulled away from this onw tonight short shifting at 5kish.

i run a 400 or so bhp cossie and i seriousley respect nova/cosra turbo`s!!!

my saff currently runs :
knife-edge crank/worked rods
headwork/cams/pulleys
T35
greys
very wild ANTI-LAG

if i race a nova/corsa turbo and win, i think myself lucky.
respect to these fookin lunatic wagons

But ppower to weight ratio looses its affect at high speeds its sheer power that has the advantage once up to speed. I bet if you worked it out a 400bhp saph would have a better power/weight ratio than a 250bhp nova turbo
