I was going to say no, but for a start it's done more miles than stated on the ad, be it only a 5k difference.

Looking through the Advert and the fact they want everything done using their own buy now buttons (which generates an Email to them) I would say its a scam where a genuine user has had their ebay ID details stolen and someone else is using it to try and make a quick buck.

Why dont you click buy it now and wind them up pretending to buy it. I bet you get a request to pay by some unsecure way.

Just play them along for as long as poss to get your own back on these idiots.

Better than that why dont loads of us plague them with but it now emails!!!!

Seems a bit weird. The links just email him, so that you can apparently be added to the 'pre-approved bidders list' ?

The guy should have listed with a buy it now option, if that is how he would like to sell it.
Also says he can't receive messages sent thru the ebay message system. Seems bollocks 'cos they are able to be read directly from the ebay message system in 'MyEbay'.
His English is also shite.

Maybe his account has been hacked and the hacker has listed the car and it is a scam.

Well I clicked the buy it now and got a response.

Well dodgy....Some sob story that he lives in Italy and must sell the car within the next few days as the authorities are making him change it to Italian plates and he does not want to.

So, advertised on Ebay UK, with a USA ebay account and the car is in Italy.

I know we already decided it was bent but makes me laugh when they try this on!!!

This is what he sent back!!!!!

Hello,
I appreciate your interest for my car. First of all, the car will be shipped from Torino, Italy where I`m located. My wife is italian and we have decided to move here. Since I reside here now, I have recently been informed by the italian police department that I need to change the registration of the car from UK to Italy, which also involves a very expensive duty tax, a lot of paperwork, lots of lost time and so on. All this must be completed by 05/DEC/2005 or i need to return it to UK after that and since i have no relatives left back home, I `m forced to sell it fast. Also, it is very difficult to drive a right-handed car in Europe.

The car was bought new by me and It has only 24000 actual miles. There is no outstanding finance on the car. It has not been stolen, has no damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects. It is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained and hasn't been involved in any accident. The motor runs awesome. The tires are like new. On a scale from 1 to 10 it is definitely 10. The car meets United Kingdom DOT and EPA guidelines so there will be no problems regarding UK Customs policy on receiving the car. It comes with a clear title, log book, HPI cleared, it is free of encumbrances and liens. You will also get from me the keys and all documents to register the car into your name.

The main thing I need to know is if you have the conditions of providing a good home for it, if you have the means to complete this transaction and if are serious about the purchase.Buy it now price is Ł3,400 with shipping/handling included. I have paid good money for it but I have priced it lower in order to get a fast deal, I am aware of that so you don't have to remind me. Money is not an issue here as me and my wife earn a very decent living here. Also i'd like to sell it to one of my fellow countryman which will take very good care of it as it deserves, europeans abuse their cars and it would be such a pity because it is such a great car.

If you agree with these terms, please email me your full name and address so we can register the transaction with eBay and I will be more than glad to start to complete the transaction with you.

I welcome your comments,

Cheers,
David Stevens

OK generally speaking Europeans take better care of their cars then most of us. Secondly, eBay themselves say not to do business with anyone outside of the eBay site

HA HA.....He is still trying to get my money!!!!

This is his latest bullshite!

Hello mate,
Thanks for the fast reply, I appologize for replying rather late, but i`ve had business I had to attentd to. The car is still available, it comes with original invoice, owners manual and
all the documents to prove its ownership. You won't have to pay any import taxes
because it's a UK car, not an import. The car will be delivered to your home address
in 7 days since your payment has been confirmed. I need your name and shipping address
so I can register the transaction with eBay. They will hold the payment until you will
receive the car and release the money to me only after the inspection period is over
and you give them your approval. Once the transaction is registered with eBay, they
will contact you with the transaction details step by step regarding shipping and
payment. I`ll wait your email with your details so we can get started.
Cheers,
