Im buying me old man a PS2 for Christmas and havent a clue what game to get him. With him being an old git he only likes adventure games (too slow for footy/racing games etc). He has Lord of the Rings on the PC which he really likes so needs something similar, one of those types of games where you need to find stuff to use elsewhere etc.....

Any ideas would be great!

Final Fantasy gets boring after a while tbh

in summoner map always gets bigger lots to search for and stuff

plus the video cut scenes are

each to there own

DONT HAVE TIME TO PLAY GAMES LIKE THAT ANYMORE

work & bitchs dont allow but enjoyed them at the time

 

sorry but nobody beats the final fantasy cut scenes, they pratically pushed forward the advancement of CGI for the last 10 years! Some piccies from the new one....













Just the sheer attention to detail is what got me with the Final Fantasy series. Plus its quite adaptable to how you play it. You can complete the whole game in 20hours if you wanted to. But if you wanted to unlock everything, get all the best wepons and gear and get your charecters to silly levels then you could be playing for 100-150 hours!!!

Just the attention to details got me to, absolutely everything is briming with ideas and some of them just cant help go "Woah, who thinks this stuff up!"

tbh havent played that sort of game in ages

but was really into them at one point

work is hard and time is short so "YOU KEEP WHAT YOU KILL"

games for me

BATTLEFIELD 2 for me at the present moment in time

In the final fantasy/Summoner games are there fighting scenes you watch or actually have to fight yourself in? Again the poor old git gets confused with things like that!!

 

final fantasy is awesome...however you do have to get involved with fight scenes...otherwise get the pc out and buy him a point and click adventure game

 

More survival horror but I'm lovin Resi 4 at the mo

 

Call me old hat but i still love 'The Getaway' probably shit by more up to date standards but still a great game

 

Final Fantasy fight bits are all turn based.. ish.... use menus and things.

 

Yeah and the look of the Chronicles of Riddick was ripped from the original Dune movie whats ya point? That everyone rips of everyone elses ideas? Big whoop.
