I greased the oil seal before refitting, ive fitted it flush to the side of the head and it seems okay but theres now this spealing noise, dunno whether its this or the timing belt as theres a strange wear/rubbing mark appearing on the belt
what is going on with my engine?

if its tight it will make a noise the more u rev it i was alway told when the cars cold u should be able to twist the cam belt 1/4 of a turn on it longest point if u no what i mean.
in your case from bottom pulley to th cam is the longest point take hold of the belt 1/2 down and see if u can twist it 1/4 turn that what i was told by a bloke that works at ford but im sure sum1 on here will say otherwisw
good luck
