yep.you have to remove the two screws to release the whole panel, then carefully prise the thing off when its away from the dash, beware as ford sells the heater switch for 35 quid.

its a bummer to do,yours must be stuck like mine was

that so,!!!!!!well i broke mine ,! thats how i know the price,!!!!!take the two outer knobs off and there are two screws ,take them out, then pull the panel up and off, disconnecting the heater direction cable,,and the light wire, and also the power block connector, then you will see the heater switch has two push in clips to remove the servo unit, then you can push her thruogh the panel, trying to pull off the knob (ooo err) will end in a broken switch.if you want to try to remove the welded on knob-end then ,thats up to you, like i said ,mine broke.

yours must be a pre 90 car like mine then.

Be careful when undoing the two screws cos the plastic lugs that the screws got thru tend to disintigrate.

the right one will have to pull off,my centre heater knob was the bas,of all basses, and thats the 35 quid one that broke! thats why i tell thee,to take the panel off to try and remove the heater knob when its away from the dash, maybe penatrating fluid or something.

is it a pre 90 car then??????????????

you need a good grip, dont you use spanners ??

i would suggest put a piece if string round one , pull that and the controller itself with your hand
