This thread follows the build of my Subaru-Powered MK6 Escort, originally a GTi.

The first few pages are mostly irrelevant now, as most of it relates to the original plans of either Zetec Turbo or Cosworth Power.

First bit shows the original change from Radiant Red to Bayside Blue with Maxi Arches and other custom bodywork.

Whats the plans for the side skirts??

 

Ideally I want the ST ones built out and slightly rounded on the edges to match up with the rest of the kit

want it to take away a little of the "slagness" so it all suits. de-dramatise the curves a little

have to see how it turns out tho

Do you have to remove/cut the old arches out? and how are you going about securing them inplace?

they're all being blended into the bodywork, altho I'm having a chat with a few people soon regarding strengthening at the rear. Needs a bit more work before I'm totally happy with that, but everything else is spot on

A1 was who I 1st thought of, but have been chatting to Brom @ ZOO Motorsport too. They're much more local to me and they can do the work too

 

and yes, you can see the metal that needs to be cut away at the rear
