Why not? Its just as strong surely. Cos its braided, i doubt it would expand and give a spongey feel.

I'm going to get some of that braid stuff just for the engine bay, link up the front calipers with it, then link up the rears from master cylinder where they meet the original lines at the bottom of the bulkhead

Alot of my cars run braid all through the car.

The only down side i can see in running braided lines all round is that the cost of the lines will be high compared to the copper type.

IMO it is better than copper and will not cause any problems.

Copper is just as good.

Its just ap ain in the arse

You got to bend it round the car the way you want it, then if you not got the flaring tool to butt the ends off it, you got to take hte pipe off again to get a garage to do it

Anyway, its a nightmare to bend straight

cos it's heavier, more expensive and rattles unless you secure it every 4 inches or so. (and will do a lovely job of removing the paint from your freshly painted tunnel/floor whilst rattling) also apparenly hard to keep clean. granted, braided won't fracture like a hard line, but personally i reckon if you've hit something hard enough to fracture a hard line mounted on the tunnel then you've bigger problems than brake fluid!

copper is shite, you want the copper alloy called cunnifer if you're going to do rigid lines.

Kunifer is a copper/nickel alloy. Its the stuff available from most motor factors for making up lines. The main reason not to use braided throughout is because of the "squirm". Unless its mounted solidly every few inches it will move slightly resulting in a softer pedal. Gonna be doing mine in kunifer run inside the car.
