cos it's heavier, more expensive and rattles unless you secure it every 4 inches or so. (and will do a lovely job of removing the paint from your freshly painted tunnel/floor whilst rattling) also apparenly hard to keep clean. granted, braided won't fracture like a hard line, but personally i reckon if you've hit something hard enough to fracture a hard line mounted on the tunnel then you've bigger problems than brake fluid!
