Can you still buy a Brandnew Escort Cosworth boot lid from FORD

Only found out the other day the differnce between the STANDARD mk5 boot lid And the Proper Escos one
M8 has got a new top spoiler and went to fit it to the V.Clean Mk5 Standard boot lid @ the wkend to find it Bloody Differnt

CheeRS for any help and fins number/price ???

 

bootlids are identical apart from the holes for the spoiler

Personally I love them without the High part. Look much cooler.

 

some are diffenent as there are 2 different windows available, one is larger than the other. HTH

 

all the same.. just top holes that are different!!!!

Ok for tho's that are saying there the same as a standard Mk5 Boot lid Please read carefully NO THERE F*%KING NOT Suriously the Escos one has a differnt iner frame where the top spoiler bold though so the bolts sit FLAT The boot lid in the pic is a STANDARD Mk5 1.3 L And DOES NOT have the flat bit in the inner frame

Ps its a Big Turbo one if there is any differnce in the 2 models of Escort Cosworth

Can I get close up pics please of the rear boot spoiler where the point is where the high spoiler attaches to?

I'm playing with the idea of doing this myself but just getting a totally new instead of using my own.

I think your talking bollocks to be honest!! i removed a cosworth tailgate 2 weeks ago and fitted a standard tailgate in its place and they are exactly the same apart from the top holes.. cant really see ford making up 2 jigs for a tailgate...

Right you say you have put a Standard mk5 boot lid on OK The INSIDE FRAME (SKIN) @ the top is differnt where your BOLTS sit agansted The OUTER SKIN is the same But its the iner Skin im talking about

Can you get pics of the boot lid your using now and the one you removed (rember it the inside frame (skin) @ the TOP Right and Left sides Where it the top spoiler fits

and my new NON escos tailgate without the holes.. open in the garage.

THERE IS NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER

FORD WILL list a different part number for the ECos tailgate as it comes PREDRILLED/pressed with the holes.... other than that, they should be the same

Does that mean you TAILGATE has been Changed in the past for a NON Cosworth one then And someone has just bogged the top spoiler on then as the bolts wont fit right due to the shape
