i removed a cosworth tailgate 2 weeks ago and fitted a standard tailgate in its place and they are exactly the same apart from the top holes..
cant really see ford making up 2 jigs for a tailgate...

Right you say you have put a Standard mk5 boot lid on OK The INSIDE FRAME (SKIN) @ the top is differnt where your BOLTS sit agansted
The OUTER SKIN is the same But its the iner Skin im talking about

Can you get pics of the boot lid your using now and the one you removed (rember it the inside frame (skin) @ the TOP Right and Left sides Where it the top spoiler fits
